7-Day access service

There is now a 7-day access service, which is free for patients to access.  This service offers GP appointments at 3 locations each evening through the week, and on weekend mornings.  These appointments are available at:

Ashton Primary Care Centre

Thornley House Medical Centre

Glossop Primary Care Centre

These appointments MUST be booked by your GP surgery.  They are available from 6.15pm - 7.45pm Monday to Friday, and 9.00am - 11.30am Saturday and Sunday. These appointments are designed to assist people who may struggle to visit their GP surgery during normal working hours.

The service at Ashton Primary Care Centre also offers cytology appointments (cervical smear/screening), along with Practice Nurse appoiuntments (for example, asthma checks etc).  Again, these MUST be booked through your GP surgery.

Please call us on 0161 303 4313 and ask to book a 7 day access appointment. Please note, you will be asked for your consent for the 7 day access service to have access to your past medical history.  This is to ensure they give you the correct advice and treatment.  It also allows them to put a consultation on your records, to enable us to see what service they have provided, and for us to offer any continuation to that care that may be necessary (for example, blood tests).

Please note: these appointments will not be with your regular GP, but with a GP who is covering that particular clinic on that particular day.
